OVERFLOWING WEALTH
The all mighty, all powerful creator of heaven and earth gives us a roadmap to overflowing wealth.
It’s a simple roadmap. Trust God with a small portion of your wealth, then he'll pour out so much blessing on you that you will have an overflow of wealth.
Life's users guide which God left for us (the Bible) says…
Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the first-fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.
Proverbs 3:9-10
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe, ” says the LORD Almighty. “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the LORD Almighty.
Malachi 3:10-12
Tithing is giving back to God a small portion of your income. A guy named Abram set the standard of tithing 10% after he won a great victory where the odds were highly stacked against him (see Genesis chapter 14).
Tithing is a great deal. God provides for you. You keep 90% and give him back 10%. In return God showers blessings back to you to the point of overflowing.
You maybe wondering, why does God want us to tithe?
TITHING IS A TEST OF YOUR HEART
It’s putting your money where your mouth is (literally).
Test #1
Are you grateful for all God has given you?
If you’re truly grateful, giving back 10% to acknowledge God for his goodness to you is not a heavy burden.
Test #2
Do you trust God to take care of you or do you trust your wealth to take care of you?
If you don’t tithe, it shows you put more trust in your treasures than God.
God knows money is important to you. When you can surrender this important part of your life to him, he is overjoyed. It shows you trust him as a child trusts their "Daddy" to take care of their needs. In return, our Heavenly Father (Daddy), opens the floodgates of heaven and pours out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
TAKE NOTE
God encourages us to test him about tithing. It's the ONLY place in the Bible where God asks us to test him.
MY EXPERIENCE
Once I begin tithing and saw the results, tithing has become a regular part of my life. The results are as advertised.
